John Hunter Nemechek will join Haas Factory Team in 2027, driving one of the organization’s three full-time entries in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Nemechek will pilot the No. 41 Chevrolet with Pye-Barker Fire & Safety serving as the primary sponsor throughout the season. He will work with crew chief Jason Trinchere as the team looks to compete for wins and a championship.

The 29-year-old Nemechek has 11 career O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victories and 13 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series wins. His strongest season came in 2023, when he won seven races, posted 17 top-five and 24 top-10 finishes and finished fourth in the championship standings. He is currently in his fourth full-time NASCAR Cup Series season, where he has recorded three top-five and 17 top-10 finishes.

Nemechek is the son of former O’Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Joe Nemechek. He earned his first series victory at Kansas Speedway in 2018 and returned to the series full time in 2021 after a season competing in the Cup Series. His most recent O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victory came at Nashville Superspeedway in June 2024. Haas Factory Team President Joe Custer said Nemechek brings the experience and talent the organization is seeking, while Nemechek said he is eager to join a championship-caliber program and compete for wins in 2027.
